
Salt Of The Earth
Under the May sun at 10 am, the Great Rann of Kutch was both awe-inspiring and merciless! But our tryst with the safed rann of the Thar Desert wasn’t over as we came back at sunset to witness the resplendence of the largest salt desert in the world under an almost full moon night.
The Black Mountain
Kalo Dungar, the highest point in the Kutch district, got our attention for unique occurrence at the Dattatreyi Temple. The priest here prepares a meal for the jackals and rings a bell at noon. Lo and behold! The creatures of the wild actually come for the meal.
That Girl From Hodko
The sleepy village of Hodko is inhabited by a remarkable set of young women. Beautiful, hard-working and camera-shy, they spend most of their days making embroidered clothes to eventually go as part of their wedding trousseau.
