Things To Do In Wellington When Not Watching ICC World Cup 2015

As sporting fans around the world begin to count down days for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, one can only imagine the level of excitement that’s brewing. The matches will be held in world-class venues across Australia and New Zealand, two nations known for their sporting culture, great cricket facilities and ardent fans.

Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand, will host three pool games on 20th February (New Zealand vs. England), 1st March (England vs. Sri Lanka) and 12th March (South Africa vs. UAE), which will be followed by the quarter final knockout on 21st March between Group B’s top qualifier and Group A’s fourth qualifier.

3. Catch the Waves While Surfing

Wellington boasts of some stunning beaches and bays, ideal for surfing, scuba diving or simply lazing under the sun. You can ride the waves and even take a swim; don’t worry about safety as the beach is patrolled by lifeguards during summers.

4. Tee Off On Some Of The Most Stunning Golf Courses

Choose from over ten golf courses within a thirty-minute drive of each other and hit a few shots, against the picture-perfect backdrop of the mountains. Some of the popular ones include Karori Golf Club, Miramar Golf Club and Mornington Golf Club.
